Synopsis
At the close of the 20th century, the people of Serbia were faced with a profound social and economic crisis, disintegration of the country, and wars. All of these left a lasting mark on their psychological and physical health. At times like that, when all values are at risk, the following question arises: What is healthy and what is sick? This film shows how a country and a specific hospital in it share the same fate. This is the story of the oldest psychiatric hospital in the Balkans, located in Belgrade. The ruination of the state and of Serbian society is reflected very directly in the fate of this psychiatric institution.
