Synopsis
Salla, who has lived with foster parents since she was a baby, feels strong sympathy for wolves and the ruggedly beautiful nature of Northern Finland. She has inherited this tendency from her biological mother, who returns to her home town without a warning, making Salla anxious and putting her relationship with her foster parents to a test. Simultaneously, Salla embarks on the adventure of her life with her friend Matias: they discover a group of poachers and manage to rescue two wolf cubs from the hunters. The hunters, however, are not the only enemies the wolves have in a region where subsistence depends on reindeer herding.
