Palunko calling! |
For fifth year in a row, screenwriters' workshop Palunko, organized by Croatian film clubs' association takes place from 22nd to 27th October, during Zagreb Film Festival. Palunko is the right place for potential screenwriting talents and screenwriting beginners who want to fully develop their talents. A project is dedicated to a systematic education in the field of scriptwriting through organizing scriptwriting contests, conversations and workshops. So far, forty people have been educated through Palunko and two of them had their scripts filmed. For instance, short film Taxideyo, based on the script of last year's winner Filip Peruzović will be screened at this year's ZFF.
The ideas will be developed during five days Palunko workshop with a total number of twelve participants divided into groups of four. All participants will pass a pitching workshop, after which they will publicly present their work. After workshop ends, three mentors (Tomislav Zajec, Irena Krčelić and Goran Tribuson) will pick the best script. The winning script will be filmed, produced by Propeler Film and Croatian film clubs' association and screened at 6. ZFF in 2008.
How to participate?
A good idea is quite enough. Just SMS your short film idea to 091 70 91 250 until 12th October. You can send as much messages as you want, just be sure not to exceed a total number of 160 signs, and then wait for the results. Thirty best ideas picked by the jury enter the second round.
