Louie Austen Sunday, October 21st, 23:59 / SC Cinema Foyer Louie Austen comes from Austria and, in his sixties, is one of the most interesting composers of dance cabaret music, nicknamed ‘Tom Jones of the undeground music'. Le launched his career in mid-60s of the last century as a singer of musicals. After fi nishing studies of classical singing he left Europe and went off to sing jazz and blues in clubs and hotel lounges across America Asia and Africa. Towards the end of the 90s he opted for a change of music expression and joined forces with renowned Viennese electronic musicians Patrick Pulsinger and Mario Neugebauer, adding freshness with their diff erent approach to music and making an interesting fusion of modern music and old school manners of good old Louie. Louie Austen, an exceptional singer and performer, slipped into his new role as a hand in a glove, and his ‘new' music is heavily influenced by the eighties disco music, dub, dance, hip hop, house and jazz.
